Kirsten Richards (known as Ms. Kissy to her music students) has a BA degree in Choral Music Education from the University of Utah. She is coming to Skyridge, after creating a successful music program at American Preparatory Academy where she taught for the last 6 years. Ms. Kissy previously worked with the choir program at Alta High School for 7 years, taught voice lessons for 8 years and directed a Children’s Choir for 5 years known as the “Brite Singers”. She has been involved with community music programs for the last 30 years, helping performers understand the impact they have in serving their community while bringing joy to so many. Along with her deep love of music, Ms. Kissy adores her family! She, along with her husband and high school sweetheart, Matt, have 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 more grandchildren on the way. She is excited to be here at Skyridge and has already fallen in love with the amazing students in her classes. She can’t wait to help create a wonderful and exhilarating Choral Music program at Skyridge!
